Back on the Run

Inspired by my time in 80s Las Vegas with a lovely local fall-in-love girlie named Bambi Streetwalker, at least that’s what she said her name was or maybe it was inspired by a few lost friends in a lost town. Who knows right? Okay, you decide!

Oh did I mention the 1972 BJC Super G Starmaker that was given to me as a gift from an awesome friend and fantastic artist named Brian Jay Cline? Yep, that axe rang on this song. Hope you like it!

LYRICS

Where did everybody go
No one’s at the show
I thought we were friends
I thought the ride was never gonna end…

On a day
When we had such fun
Jets skis in the sun
Red skies at night we danced moonlight
As you slipped on

By me
Somehow I didn’t see
That my day was done
And now I’m on back on the run

I’m on the Run
I’m back on the run
Can’t find the sun
My day is done
My broken heart has come undone

Where did everybody go
No one’s at the show
I thought we were friends
I thought the ride was never gonna end

On the street
Where my money was good
You said you never thought we could
Give up the life on the strip tonight why can’t we

Double down
Ah… this was our town
But my day was done
And now I’m on back on the run

I’m on the Run
I’m back on the run
Can’t find the sun
My day is done
My broken heart has come undone

So where did everybody go
No one’s at my show
I thought we were friends
I thought the ride was never gonna end

On the streets
Where my money was good
You said you never thought we could
Give up the life on the strip tonight why can’t I

See oh no
The joke was on me
And my days were done
And now I’m on back on the run

I’m on the Run
I’m back on the run
Can’t find the sun

My day is done
My broken heart has come undone

I’m back on the run
I can’t find the sun
My day is done

My broken heart has come undone
