Most VT readers already know that our domain “veteranstoday.com” was banned by Facebook back in 2017 without explanation or recourse. But with the polarizing Ukraine War, the battle for eyeballs is going full toxic to see who controls the narrative.
For VT, we were one of the earlier publishers to be banned in what has now become a long list of publishers across the internet globe. At the time, it seemed devastating because Facebook was so dominant but our loyal readers stayed the course and we are still online publishing!
Over time, we’ve learned to live without direct Facebook posts and now, Facebook is losing users across the board while others rise.
Things are changing again. The pressure is on. Elites and Governments are battling for supremacy. The battles are boiling over and those with power levers are trying to shut down publishers that don’t sell their agendas. It’s really tough out there.
To work through the changes and open up our doors to the coming years, VT is now posting on other up-and-coming social media platforms along with some of the names you already know.
Below we list the Social Media Platforms that VT has a relationship with. We encourage our readers who use these platforms to share, follow, like, share and share.

STATUS: UNDER REVIEW, SUSPENDED AND BANNED
FACEBOOK
The VeteransToday.com (VT) domain is BANNED on Facebook since 2017. However, our sister site at VeteransTodayNetwork.com (VTN) is allowed and so we are able to post 1 story a day on Facebook from VTN. It’s not perfect but it works and helps VT stories get on FB.
INSTAGRAM
Currently Under Review for Questionable Content. This situation is very recent. We are NOT sure if and when it will be resolved. Time will tell.
MEDIUM
This account is under investigation or was found in violation of the Medium Rules. That’s all we know. Time will tell if they lift their review and allow VT to post.
PINTEREST.COM
VeteransToday.com domain was BANNED 8 days ago. However, our sister site at VeteransTodayNetwork.com (VTN) is allowed and so we are able to post 1 story a day on Instagram from VTN
REDDIT
VeteransToday.com domain was BANNED a year ago. However, our sister site at VeteransTodayNetwork.com (VTN) is allowed and so we are able to post 1 story a day on Reddit from VTN
TWITTER
We can post daily on Twitter and that’s good! But when you click on our link, it goes to a warning page that says;
Warning: this link may be unsafe. The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe, in accordance with Twitter’s URL Policy. This link could fall into any of the below categories:
-
- malicious links that could steal personal information or harm electronic devices
- spammy links that mislead people or disrupt their experience
- violent or misleading content that could lead to real-world harm
- certain categories of content that, if posted directly on Twitter, are a violation of the Twitter Rules
Clearly, this deters many Twitter users from clicking to our site and reading. It’s clearly a deterrent and certainly limits exposure. In effect, its’ censorship without saying it’s censorship.
Hey, it’s happening in Russia as well. Have you heard of Pussy Riot? Well, check out this interview with the PUSSY RIOT leader on how Putin is trying to shut her up. This girl got Gulag-ed. It’s happening everywhere on all sides. It sucks!

Twitter’s rule “…violent or misleading content that could lead to real-world harm…” I guess that doesn’t include as “harm in real-world” Lindsey Graham asksing if it knows anyone willing to assassinate Putin…
“we are still online publishing!”
You must be doing something right.
Google hasn’t banned you.
The true test of a free press is allowing speech that is offensive. This was demonstrated for years, as an example, of free press advocates allowing KKK marches and defending their right to do so. Control over content , is the exclusive right of the publisher, however when a publisher has a extensive market share, like F news, they have a much greater potential for causing “real world harm”. We’ll see where it goes, as the internet is young, and the phase I’m starting to refer to as the “audit” phase is beginning to poke out of the ground. 8 billion people having an argument is the internet, and certain segments have yet to join in. A full audit of human society is inevitable.
Explore the Russian Vkontakte network. A lot of foreigners from different countries have joined this network. It is completely controlled by Russia and there is no witch hunt and censorship as in the Western media. You can write anything (within the framework of universal laws). Yes, there may not be many English-language resources, but it’s quiet there.
It is not correct to infer that Russia has a free press.
David, it is not correct to infer that any country has a free press…
